Requirements: An applicant must belong to a golf club that is a member of the WMSGA, and she must also have an active GHIN handicap at a member club. Individual annual dues are $35.
Individual memberships are offered in four different classifications...
Adult Member: Most often referred to as our regular members, adult members are women eighteen years and older.
Junior Member: A junior member is a girl who has not yet reached her eighteenth birthday. Dues are waived for all our junior members.
Honorary Member: On occasion, the WMSGA honors a member who has made significant contributions to the association. Dues are waived for our honorary members.
Supporting Member: Any person, business, or corporation that wishes to support the association may become a non-competitive member.
All competitive members may apply for our weekly tournaments, including special events for which they meet eligibility requirements.
In order to keep our membership records accurate, we ask our members to notify the administrative assistant about such changes as name, address, phone number, and club membership.
Our Pledge: We are committed to promoting interest in the game of golf for all women, and we take a very special interest in supporting junior golf for girls in Maine. The WMSGA contributes to the MSGA Scholarship Fund and the Maine Golf Hall of Fame.
Requirements: To join as a WMSGA member club, please send an application and dues payment of $50 to our administrative assistant.

Member clubs will appoint a club representative to act as a liaison between the WMSGA and the club's members. Ideally, she will be a member of the WMSGA. However, when a club cannot find such a representative, a club owner or manager may act as the club rep.
Tournaments: Each member club will be expected to host one tournament a season (as the schedule allows). The WMSGA tournament schedule will be determined by the tournament committee and approved by the WMSGA executive board.

work together with the WMSGA to organize and conduct tournaments when hosting them at their clubs. Pairings and scoring will be done by the administrative assistant.
be expected – but not obligated – to host the Maine Women’s Amateur on a rotational basis if they are 18-hole, championship caliber courses.
charge no more than one-half cart fee per person even when it's not possible to place two people in a cart. If, however, the host club incurs an expense in obtaining extra carts, the WMSGA will collect fees and then reimburse clubs for carts cancelled after 6 pm on the Sunday preceding the Tuesday tournament or for entrants who do not show up for the tournament.
be reimbursed following the tournament for green fees. The WMSGA pays $17 for each participant, but we ask for club support so that our junior members may play for free.
Course Rating: All WMSGA member courses must be rated. A course must be at least 3,000 yards in length (for 18 holes) in order to be rated.
