TriState is an annual team competition that pits Maine against New Hampshire and Vermont.
Vermont hosts the 2017 event.
June 20 - 21 at Manchester Country Club, Manchester, Vermont
Open/Close Dates: April 11 - May 10
Eligibility: An applicant must be a WMSGA member who has played in three WMSGA tournaments between June 15, 2016 and May 10, 2017. She must be willing to play in inclement weather. Applicants must submit both an application and the required entry fee. If an applicant is not selected for the team, her check will be shredded or she will receive a credit card refund. Attendance at the team meeting and the banquet is mandatory.
Selection Criteria: The selection committee will seek to field the best possible team in all three divisions and place players in those divisions according to their handicaps. Consideration will be given to applicants who have played three qualifying rounds and who demonstrate the competitive spirit needed to win points.
Format: Day 1 – Modified Chapman (alternate shot)
Day 2 – Individual match play
Practice Round: Sunday, June 18 or Monday, June 19
Entry Fee: $140
Banquet: Tuesday, June 20
Maine Uniforms: Blue team shirts for both days. Stone shorts, pants, or skorts to be worn both days.
Handicap Indexes: Division 1: 0 – 14.9 (10 players)
Division 2: 15.0 – 21.9 (12 players)
Division 3: 22.0 – 30.0 (8 players)
TriState Guidelines: Players may use legal GPS devices, no cell phone versions. Caddies are not allowed.
