"This was a staircase, now it's a larger kitchen," Tower explained, pointing to the first floor. The original vision had to adapt to accommodate these unexpected findings. The project now includes a redesigned roof, a new third-story living area, and updated systems, all while preserving the home's historic charm, such as the five original fireplaces and the grand staircase.
One of the most intriguing aspects, in my opinion, is the blend of modern convenience with historic character. Tower's vision is to create a home that respects its past while offering contemporary comforts. The layout he described, with a kitchen on the first floor, master bedroom on the second, and a large living area on the third, is a perfect example of this fusion.
